Meeting of people interested in saving Ancoats Dispensary held at The Mustard Tree, Bengal Street, Ancoats. Fight to Save Ancoats Dispensary was formed. Barbara Whillans suggested that given the imminent threat of demolition a presence should be put in place outside the Dispensary. THE VIGIL was born. PETITIONS WERE PRINTED AND VENUES WERE CHOSEN TO GAIN SUPPORT. |
